Consultation
(212)822-1426
|
I receive many phone calls from all over the world asking immigration related questions from A to Z. If I am available, I try to answer them quickly and without compensation, so that you can determine your next legal step and a legal strategy appropriate for your case. Many phone inquires are simple and I try to direct people in the right direction. Some questions become more complex and will require either an office consultation or review of your documents which you can e-mail or fax to me. I charge $100.00 for review of the documents and $150.00 for an office consultation.
The answers to your questions after review of the documents can be provided via e-mail or telephone call after I receive payment. I often appear in Immigration or Federal Court or attend immigration interviews with my clients during which time I am not available by phone so I encourage e-mail because I can answer it quicker and more completely.
However, if you have limited access to e-mail and can not reach me personally by telephone at the time of your call, please leave your phone number (please repeat it twice) and nature of your question and I will call you back within a short period of time that day or, in the worst case scenario, within 24 hours of your call.

Many simple questions can be answered
by an e-mail. Many complex cases require an office consultation
with a lawyer who needs to see the documents and spend
an appropriate amount of time talking to a prospective
client and advising him or her of their legal options.
If you can not make it to my office in New York City,
but still wish to have me review your case personally
and tell you my opinion then feel free to use this e-consultation
procedure. In itself it does not create an attorney -
client relationship between us but provides you with an
opportunity to receive concrete answer to your dilemma
based on deeper research, time and analysis of your case
or facts.
In order to accomplish this procedure, I need the following
documents from you: If it is an appeal, then I need the
most recent decision from the immigration judge or a letter
from the immigration which denied your case and, if possible,
some documents this denial was based on. If there is a
copy of the application, please fax it to me, or Fedex
it to my office since time is often of the essence (usually
an appeal must be made within thirty days of the denial
letter). I also need a brief description of facts from
you. Your name, your address, your date of birth, your
citizenship, date of your last arrival in the US, the
basis of your claim and what you testified in court or
before the immigration officer if this information is
not reflected n the decision.
If you are thinking of filing a claim for political asylum,
feel free to tell me the basis for your claim and what
written proof you have now. If you are thinking of changing
or extending your status or visa, please send me by fax
or e-mail your current immigration documents, copy of
your passport and a brief factual background as to who
you are, your current status and what you wish to accomplish.
I will analyze your case and tell you what your legal
options are and what their chances of success are.
I will need to receive from you a check or money order
in the amount of $150.00 and payable to Andre Sobolevsky.
I will respond to you by e-mail or phone within 24 hours
of receipt of the money. If payment is made by personal
check, then my response is 24 hours within the time the
check clears.
Sincerely Yours,
Andre R. Sobolevsky, Esq.
